    Crediton Taekwon-Do Newsflash

    Hi

Hope you all had a brilliant weekend and took full advantage of the glorious weather

As we move forward and the weather is being favourable don't forget things like sun cream and hat / glasses if required. Even for our evening sessions.

Our schedule will be Tuesdays at Yeoford, Thursdays at Sandford and Sundays at Newton St Cyres. All these will be outdoors so please dress appropriately with suitable footwear if attending (doboks and belts are not required unless you would like)

All the sessions need to be booked via our online system, this will include filling some detail which is a key part of our CV-19 secure procedures and best practice. We will (even though outdoors) be temperature checking and require good hand sanitisation.

The booking system is available at www.creditontkd.com

**You will need to book a place for each member if more than one per family**

Tuesday (evening) at Yeoford Village Hall - Yeo View, Yeoford, Crediton EX17 5HY

5.45 to 6.40 then 6.45 to 7.40pm - mixed all ages grades and abilities

As already said, we are going to try a new location at Sandford - so both sessions will on the public grass area adjacent to the Sandford Tennis Club:-

    19 Park View

    Crediton

    EX17 4NW

Thursday (evening) 5.45 to 6.40 then 6.45 to 7.40pm - mixed all ages grades and abilities

Sundays (morning) at The Recreation Ground, Station Rd, Newton St Cyres, EX5 5AT

    9.45 to 10.25 Little PUMAs & Junior Taekwon-Do

    10.30 to 11.25 Taekwon-Do (mixed)

    11.30 to 12.25 Taekwon-Do (mixed)

Sunday's will be split so we have Little PUMA and Junior Taekwon-Do specific classes for the first 45mins with separate instructors, so if any or all of our younger members can come along that would be great!

The earlier sessions (evenings) will be for any/all beginners and predominately younger members.

There are some multi-generational families who will naturally want to, and are encouraged to, train in the same session as their child(ren), and you are welcome at any of the sessions, however if you unable to book your preferred option please let us know and we will do all we can to accommodate.

We ask that if attending you are considerate to our members and anyone else at the public venue and, of course, if you have any potential CV-19 symptoms or have been advised from the track and trace team to self isolate, are feeling unwell, or required to isolate following travel or awaiting test results etc you must not attend.

Our plans have been ratified by our recognised National Governing Body, the International Taekwon-Do Council (ITC), as long as we follow all their guidelines or exceed them we are permitted to return to training as planned.

Please note the following as well as the attached:

    • Bookings (online) will be required for every class, this will include completion of details like your telephone contact - we have to have this to meet the requirements of track and trace should they be required.
    • Everyone training will need to have an in-date licence - if yours has expired then please complete the form (attached) and email it in so we can get that processed for you - (unless attending as a taster session)
    • Everyone attending will be temperature checked prior to starting training (we have a contactless scanner for this)
    • All attending will need to arrive changed - ready for training
    • All training will be in suitable footwear (outdoors)
    • You must bring your own drink, tissues and a bag for any waste and take all your belongings and refuse home with you
    • Hand sanitisation will be provided and expected to be used
    • Toilets may not be available (as outdoors) - wherever possible please use facilities at home before and after training
    • Shouting, ki-aps and exhalations will be softer and reduced to minimise risk
    • Arrival and departure must be inline with National Guidance on social distancing and numbers - so parents please wait in cars or ensure the accepted parameters are followed.
    • As our Little PUMAs may need some parental support we will be having one specific LP session per week on a Sunday morning
    • If LPs wish to attend another training session, they need to be able to enter and leave the training venue under supervision of the instructors but be able to understand and observe the distancing rules we all need to follow
    • No equipment to be used (at present)
    • No contact whilst training (at present)
    • We will be public areas - so additional vigilance is required (moving vehicles etc.)

As you will see we are allowed class sizes of up to 15 at present so we will have more than adequate space at all the locations for these numbers. We are working on spacings of 3mtrs plus as a minimum per person during the sessions.

On a safeguarding perspective all the locations have the ability for parents to view the training area (from vehicles or suitable safe distance) - it is also our plan to whenever possible have two (myself and at least one other DBS checked black belt) at the sessions to enable us to run and effectively manage all the sessions.

We will put the class bookings out three times per week as we go as the declaration of symptoms is part of the process. If after booking CV-19 symptoms become apparent, you feel unwell or have been advised to isolate for any reason, then please ensure the appropriate action is taken and you keep me informed so I can re-allocate the space etc.

All of this of course comes with the caveat that, if for any reason I am unwell, display the symptoms or have to isolate then the sessions will suspended until I can recommence them, as I am the instructor registered with the ITC.

There is parking, but as outdoors please do come prepared for the weather (hot or cold) and appropriate footwear (no doboks or belts) and please make sure you have a drink.

In the event of really bad weather we will email out any online joining information when and if required as a back up contingency!

Unless the weather is particularly bad we will go ahead outdoors!

As always any queries, concerns, feedback or suggestions then please do let us know

We are really looking forward to seeing you in person again and want to say thank you for your continued and valued support

    Kind Regards

    Mr. P
